I am using the Octopus Deploy add-on for Bamboo. The add-on has two options for package creation: "zip" & "nuget". If the build agent is running on a Linux box, how do I make the add-on do "tar.gz"?

Hi Brian, thanks for getting in touch.

The Bamboo extension's options are based on the formats provided by Octo.exe which currently doesn't support tar.gz. You may however be able to execute a script to do this instead as the build agent would have the capabilities. The same instructions we have for zipping should apply for tar.gz.

Please let me know if that solves the problem for you!

    Regards,
