Need to skip child step using Octo.exe

Using octo.exe I need to skip a child step. For example: octo deploy-release --project MyProject --tenant A --deployto Stage --version 17.12.21.2 --force --skip "some child step" --server https://XXX --apiKey XXXX

I've tried --skip"ParentStepName:ChildStepName" and other various combinations. Bottom line, I need some kind of command line option to skip a single child step within a parent step. Specifically, I have a process with 3 steps that all have child steps. I want to skip step 3 and only one child within step 2.

Thanks for your help!

    Hi Bob,

Thanks for reaching out! I just tried this using Octo.exe 4.25.0 against an Octopus Server running 4.1.8 and it worked. See attached screenshots and script for reference of my setup.

    $apiKey = "API-EVIPMBOUWZAB1ZOWGLPVBJVZTKQ"
    $server = "http://localhost"
    $OctoExe = "C:\tools\Octo.exe"
    $ProjectName = "Phoenix"
    $SkipStep = "Child1"
    $EnvironmentName = "Dev"

    & $OctoExe create-release --server $server --apikey $apiKey --skip $skipstep --project $ProjectName --deployto $EnvironmentName --progress

If that setup doesn't work for you, could you tell me which version of the Octopus Server and Octo.exe are you running? Also please send me a screenshot of the

    Thanks,
    Dalmiro
